FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who is SiloBase for?

Independent property & casualty agencies of roughly 1–3 people — the producer/CSR staff who issue certificates of insurance to their clients' certificate holders and chase renewals. It is deliberately not for the vendor-compliance requestor side that tools like myCOI/illumend, TrustLayer, and Jones serve.

How is SiloBase different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet stores text but does not remind, link a certificate to its policy and holder, or leave an audit trail anyone trusts. SiloBase turns the 60/30/14/7-day renewal queue that E&O guidance recommends into an automatic, auditable system.

Do I need to replace my agency management system?

No. SiloBase is a focused COI desk. If you already run an AMS you like, SiloBase handles the certificate-issuance and renewal-chasing work alongside it.

What does it cost?

Early-access pricing runs $29/mo (Desk), $59/mo (Agency), and $99/mo (Pro). That sits below the $119/mo entry point of Insurstein, the cheapest agency-side COI issuance today. See pricing for details.

Does SiloBase issue or bind coverage?

No. SiloBase is a record-keeping and reminder tool. Coverage continues to be issued and bound through your carriers and your AMS.

Does SiloBase track incoming vendor certificates too?

Not today. The first release is built for the issuing side — agencies that send COIs out. If your shop also has to track incoming vendor COIs, let us know on the waitlist; it shapes the roadmap.
